Palamartsa, Targovishte, Bulgaria
This is the village where we live, which is one of the Kapantsi villages, so named because of its traditions and heritage with folklore, folk music, singing and dancing, which is still very much alive and practised still today. The village is also very agricultural and most residents keep livestock and grow their own fruit and vegetables. It is surrounded by beautiful hills and forests. There are a few shops, cafe/bar, libray with computers and internet access, post office, and a regular bus service to and from Popov three times daily. There is also a free school bus which operates daily to take children to and from school in nearby Popovo.
